A simple, wholesome chocolate treat that makes it easy to enjoy something delicious while still nourishing your body.

This Nourish & Indulge Protein Chocolate Brownie is a simple, chocolatey treat made with wholesome ingredients, almond flour and yoghurt, with the option to add extra protein powder for an even more satisfying snack.

Gluten-free, nourishing and delicious, it's a reminder that food can support your health while still being something you genuinely enjoy.

Perfect with a cup of tea or coffee, as an afternoon snack, or when you're simply craving something chocolatey or sweet. It curbs those sweet cravings.

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs

  • ½ cup yoghurt of choice

  • ¼ cup sugar
    or ⅓ cup if using a sweetener

  • ¼ cup maple syrup
    or sugar free maple syrup

  • ⅓ cup cocoa powder or cacao powder

  • 1 cup almond flour

  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

  • A generous pinch of salt

Dairy-free option:

Use your favourite plant-based yoghurt alternative, such as soy or almond yoghurt.

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C.

  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the eggs, yoghurt, sugar and maple syrup.

  3. In a separate bowl, combine the cocoa/cacao, almond flour, baking powder and salt.

  4. Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.

  5. If using protein powder, fold it through the mixture at this stage.

  6. Pour the mixture into a lined or lightly greased baking tin.

  7. Bake for approximately 30 minutes, or until a skewer or knife inserted into the centre comes out clean.

  8. Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely before storing.

Want to Make a Bigger Batch?

Simply double all ingredients and bake for at least 40 minutes. Check the centre with a knife or skewer to ensure it is cooked through.

Storage

Store in an airtight container in the fridge or at room temperature, depending on your preference and ingredients used.

You can also freeze individual portions for a convenient treat whenever you need one.

A Little Nutrition Note

For an extra protein boost, add 1–2 scoops of your preferred protein powder. The recipe will become slightly firmer, but you'll have an even more satisfying, protein rich treat.
